PDF: Thirty Days of Preparing for Birth

$12.00

In Thirty Days of Preparing for Birth, you will be given the opportunity to think about and meditate on aspects of the labor and birth process that can deeply influence how you feel as you approach this incredible event. The goal is simple: guide you toward feeling safe, confident, empowered, and excited about labor and birth.

Whether this is your first birth or your fifth, you have the opportunity to shift away from fear and uncertainty toward anticipation and peace. This journal is not a birth plan; it is a vessel for uncovering, processing, imagining, and empowering.

Most people consider labor and birth to be “physical” acts. But this journal will enlighten you about the reality that labor and birth are highly mental, emotional, and spiritual. Connect with yourself, connect with your baby, connect with your primitive nature as an intensely powerful woman.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PONDER QUESTIONS SUCH AS:

Day Three: Reflect on births you’ve witnessed in the past (either in real life or on television). Write about how they are influencing your emotions and ideas about labor and birth.

Day Nine: A key aspect of birth preparation is learning how to regulate your nervous system. Write about the tools and strategies you know help your body stay calm, grounded, and feeling safe.

Day Fourteen: Write about the mental shift of pain as harmful versus pain as productive.

Day Twenty-Five: Finish and expand on the following sentence: “As labor and birth approaches, I know that I can trust myself to ___________.”
